Our story

A dentistry built around predictable outcomes, not promises.

Dr. Daniela Canales established East Quarter Dental to bring careful, modern dentistry into the heart of downtown Dallas. She grew up around the practice — her family has worked as dentists for three generations — and she carries that lineage into every visit: an unhurried examination, an honest conversation about what's needed, and a treatment plan she can stand behind.

The office itself sits on Commerce Street in the Downtown Dallas Historic District, in a loft with floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto a tree-filled atrium. It is not the fluorescent waiting room patients expect. The light is warm, the room is quiet, and the chair faces a view of the courtyard. Several patients have described it as a "zen garden" — which is exactly the atmosphere we wanted to build.

Our work is what you'd expect from a serious downtown practice: routine exams and cleanings, same-day CEREC crowns, Invisalign, dental implants, periodontal therapy, sedation options for anxious patients, and an in-office membership plan for patients without traditional insurance. We invest in digital X-rays, intraoral imaging, and modern diagnostic tools so that we can see clearly, talk clearly, and act precisely.

What we don't do is hype. Dr. Canales prefers statements like "predictable outcomes" over the marketing language that surrounds most dental practices. If a treatment isn't needed, we will tell you. If something can wait, we will say so. If you've put off the dentist for years, we have seen that — many times — and we will not lecture you about it.

The space

A loft on Commerce, with a view of the atrium.

Floor-to-ceiling windows. A tree-filled courtyard. Modern operatories arranged so the chair faces the light, not the wall. Patients often write to us about the view from the chair — it is one of the few things we will quietly take credit for.

· Walking-distance to the Dallas Central Business District, Deep Ellum and the Dallas Farmers Market
· Adjacent street parking on Commerce — easy in, easy out, even on a lunch break
· Digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, CEREC same-day crowns and sedation options on site

How we work

Four principles we keep on the wall — and at the chair.

01

Clinical precision over marketing claims.

We make recommendations we can defend in front of another dentist. If a tooth can be watched, we watch it. If it needs a crown, we explain exactly why and show you the imaging.

02

Respect for a working schedule.

We open at 7:00 AM Monday through Friday because most of our patients work downtown. Appointments are designed to fit around a lunch hour or a pre-meeting hour — without feeling rushed.

03

Care that is genuinely bilingual.

Dr. Canales is fluent in Spanish. Treatment plans, consent forms, post-op instructions and the difficult conversations all happen in the language you are most comfortable in.

04

Access without insurance gymnastics.

We offer an in-office membership plan for patients without traditional dental insurance, and we accept CareCredit financing. Prices are quoted in advance, in writing, before any work begins.

The team

Small team. Long careers. Same people every visit.

Daisy

Dental hygienist
D

Daisy is the hygienist most patients meet first. She is meticulous, patient, and a careful explainer — qualities that show up in our reviews more often than anything else. As one patient wrote: "My hygienist Daisy is the best. She's attentive and patient. She explained my procedure in detail, took time to listen and answered my questions."

Erica

Receptionist · Patient coordinator
E

Erica is the voice on the phone and the first face at the front desk. She schedules appointments, walks new patients through insurance and the in-office membership plan, and keeps the practice running on time. Several patient reviews single her out by name — and call her, accurately, a gem.
